Onion Prices Skyrocket, Mumbai Police Arrests Two Men For Stealing 168 kg Of The Staple Food

Mumbai police have arrested two men for stealing onions from two shops in the Dongri area. The accused stole approximately 168 kg of onions valued over Rs 20,000. The incident was captured on CCTV camera. The rates were as high as Rs 165 a kg in Panaji. Onions are selling for as high as Rs 120 in many parts of the country. For the second week in a row, the prices stayed above Rs 100 per kg mark across major cities on Tuesday.
