Omicron Variant In India: Tally At 21, Cases Identified In Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Delhi
India’s Omicron count has reached 21. The numbers are steadily rising in the country. New cases of the variant have been found in Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Delhi. Seven cases have been found in Maharashtra alone. Nine people in Jaipur, who tested positive with the virus, are from the same family. They had recently returned from South Africa. A man tested positive with the variant in Delhi. The first two cases of Omicron variant in India were reported from Karnataka. The other two cases were found in Gujarat and Maharashtra. Delhi’s Health Minister Satyendar Jain tweeted, “Take the vaccine, wear a mask and follow social distancing.” Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who had urged the Central government to stop international flights, tweeted, “It’s sad that we did not stop flights from affected countries.” Watch the video to know more.
