Odisha Train Accident: CBI Takes Over Probe Of The Three-Train Collision Tragedy, Files FIR In Mishap That Killed Over 270
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken over the probe of the Odisha train tragedy. On June 6, the central agency filed an FIR in the matter. The FIR provides a maximum sentence of five years. FIR was earlier filed by the Odisha police but now the probe into the mishap has been taken over by the CBI. The tragedy claimed over 270 lives and left more than 1,100 people injured.
