Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman while presenting the Union Budget 2022 said that income from digital assets will be taxed at 30 per cent. The Finance Minister in her speech mentioned the use of 'green bonds' that will be used for 'green infrastructure'. FM Nirmala Sitharaman said digital currency will be issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in 2022-23 using blockchain technology. She said it will give a big boost to the economy.
