Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food is the culinary drama that marked the directorial debut of Nilesh Krishnaa. The Tamil film, starring Nayanthara as an aspiring chef, was released in theaters on December 1, 2023, and also features Jai and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles. However, after its release on Netflix on December 29, 2023, Annapoorani ran into trouble. The streaming platform took down the film following an FIR filed against them and the filmmakers, alleging the movie had hurt religious sentiments.
