Naxal Ambush: 17 Jawans Killed, 15 Injured In Major Encounter In Bastar, Chhattisgarh

17 Jawans of Chhattisgarh’s Police Force have been killed in an encounter in Baster, Chhattisgarh on March 22. Another 15 personnel of the CPF have been taken to Raipur for treatment after being injured. A Joint Team Of The DRG, STF, and The Cobra Team Of The CRPF had launched an operation after receiving intelligence inputs about “maoist presence in the area", the police said. After the first encounter, the Naxals laid an ambush for returning troops in Sukma’s Minpa which saw the armed forces suffer a heavy casualty count.
