Navratri is a nine days long Hindu festival that is celebrated every year. Though the festival of Navratri is celebrated for different reasons with different rituals across the various parts of the Indian cultural sphere. This year Navratri will begin on October 17 and end on October 25. The Uddhav Thackeray-led Maharashtra government has urged people to celebrate the upcoming Navratri and Dussehra festivals in a low-key manner due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The state government has announced that there will be no garba, dandiya or any cultural events involving mass participation this year. On Navratri this year there will be no Garba event in Gujarat as well. A set of Covid-related guidelines for the festive season has been issued. Watch the video to know more.
