Navjot Singh Sidhu has resigned as the Punjab Congress chief. “The collapse of a man's character stems from the compromise corner. I can never compromise on Punjab's future and the agenda for the welfare of Punjab. Therefore, I hereby resign as the President of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee. I will continue to serve the Congress,” Navjot Singh Sidhu wrote in the letter. Sidhu posted the letter on social media. This shocking development comes just days after Amarinder Singh was replaced as Chief Minister, with Sidhu’s keen involvement in the process. Captain Amarinder Singh tweeted, “He is not a stable man and not fit for the border state of Punjab.” This move is seen as a huge blow to the Congress as the Gandhis were warned about Sidhu’s appointment.
