NASA's Perseverance Rover Scheduled To Land On Mars' Jezero Crater

National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Mars 2020 Perseverance is set to land on Mars on February 18 after travelling for more than six and a half months through space. The spacecraft will be landing in the planet’s Jezero crater, as confirmed by engineers managing the mission from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California. The terrain of the Jezero crater makes it the most difficult landing on Mars as it has steep cliffs, sand dunes & boulder fields. If the landing is successful, the team handling the mission will know it seven minutes after the touchdown. This period has also been called “seven minutes of terror” by some engineers related to the mission. Watch the video to know more.
