Muslim Bangle Seller Beaten By Group of Men In Indore, MP Minister Narottam Mishra Says He Used Fake Identity
On August 22, a 25-year-old man selling bangles in Indore, Madhya Pradesh was mercilessly thrashed in full public view by a group of people. The unidentified men also allegedly took away Rs 10,000 that the victim was carrying. A police case has been registered reportedly after many people gathered outside the police station demanding action against the accused. Narottam Mishra, State Home Minister quoting a police investigation, said that the victim was attacked after people realised that he was using a fake name to run his business. The video, which has gone viral on social media, shows the victim reportedly named Tasleem being beaten up by a group of men. The men can be seen beating the bangle seller even as he pleads to let him go. In the video, the unidentified men can be heard using communal slurs at him. None of the people present at the spot came forward to help the victim. A case of rioting, robbery, assault, intimidation and trying to disturb communal harmony has been registered against the unidentified men, reported NDTV.
