Mumbai Trans Harbour Link Details: Speed Limit, Toll Charges And Other Details Of India’s Longest Sea Bridge

On January 12, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL). The bridge is a 6-lane sea link, with 16.50 kilometres of the stretch on sea and 5.50 km on land. The bridge will begin at Sewri in South Mumbai and end at Chirle near Nhava Sheva area in Uran Taluka. Mumbai Police has announced the speed limit for the MTHL. The maximum speed limit for four-wheelers on the MTHL will be 100 kmph, the police said. Cars, taxis, LMVs, minibuses and two-axle buses could go up to 100 kmph on the bridge. The speed will be limited to 40 kmph on the uphill and downhill portions of the bridge. The police said that motorcycles, mopeds, three-wheelers, autos, tractors, animal-drawn vehicles and slow-moving vehicles are not allowed. The Maharashtra cabinet approved a proposal to charge Rs 250 as the toll for cars using the MTHL. Watch the video to know more.
