Mumbai Rains: Heavy Rainfall Paralyses Normal Life; Road, Rail and Air Traffic Affected, BMC Orders Closure of All Schools

Incessant heavy rain since last night crippled normal life in several parts of Mumbai and its suburbs on Monday, July 8. Due to overnight rainfall, local train services, vehicular movement and flight operations at the Mumbai airport were severely affected. As several areas witnessed severe waterlogging, the BMC ordered closure of all schools and colleges for the day.
