Mumbai Petrol Stock: Police Urges People To Not Rush To Petrol Stations As Enough Stock Is Available In City
On January 2, Mumbai Police took to X to inform people that enough stock of petroleum products is available in the city. Mumbai Police also said that they are providing adequate security to the tankers supplying petroleum products in Mumbai. Mumbaikars rushed to petrol stations to refill their vehicles amid the strike called by truckers across the country against the new provisions on hit-and-run road accidents. Fuel pumps across the city witnessed a huge rush on January 2. Meanwhile, the strike has been called off . On January 2, President of All India Motor Transport Congress Amrit Lal Madan said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has put on hold the punishment of 10 years and a penalty of Rs 7 lakh under the new law -Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS).
