Mumbai: Building Collapses in Kurla, One Dead, Atleast 10 Feared Trapped As Rescue Operations On

A four-storey building in Mumbai’s Kurla area collapsed around midnight. The building has been identified as being part of Naik Society. Atleast one person has died in the collapse and 10 more are feared to be trapped under the debris of the collapsed structure. As per locals a total of 20 people had been trapped but some were rescued through the night. Rescue operations have been going on through the night. Officials fear the collapse structure which is attached to another wing, could pull more structure down.  About 12 fire engines and two rescue vans have been deployed for the rescue and extraction operation.
