A surprising & dramatic moment was witnessed at the recently held Mrs Sri Lanka 2021 competition. During the crowning ceremony, the former Mrs World and outgoing Mrs Sri Lanka, Caroline Jurie announced Pushpika De Silva as the winner. But after a while, Caroline came on to the stage & removed the crown from Pushpika De Silva’s head. “There is a rule that you have to be married and not divorced, so I am taking my first steps in saying that the crown goes to the first runner-up,” said Jurie. A surprised De Silva couldn't hold back and walked off from the stage as soon as the crown from her head was removed. Later on, Pushpika took to her Facebook page and shared a long note regarding the whole incident. She wrote, “I'm not a divorce woman. If I was a divorce, I would dare them to submit my divorce scripts.”
