Monsoon Forecast in India: Know Date & Progress of South West Monsoon Across The Country

Monsoon has finally made its way in India after a long delay. Rains have covered nearly 10 states in the last four days. Monsoon has reached Varanasi covering 700kms in four days from its position over north Bay of Bengal last Wednesday. It is likely to make further headway in Uttar Pradesh on June 24. Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and UP received rains. Telangana, Karnataka, west Madhya Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir also received some rain on June 23. Reportedly, monsoon is likely to cover Maharashtra, enter Madhya Pradesh and South Gujarat over the next couple of days. IMD predicts rainfall in the national capital soon.
