A scary video of a rescue operation conducted to save a mother and her child from a raging waterfall in Tamil Nadu has gone viral. The daring act has been widely lauded on social media. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin shared the video on Twitter and wrote, “The courageous act of those who saved the mother and daughter is commendable.” The video clip shows the woman trying to balance herself on a rock while holding her baby. The incident took place at Anaivari Muttal falls in Salem. It’s a popular tourist spot. The forest department officials rescue the woman and her child with the help of a rope. After the mother and the child were brought to safety, the video clip shows two officials losing balance and falling into the water. Reportedly, the officials swam to the other side of the river safely. Salem District Forest Officer K Gowtham told The Indian Express that no deaths or injuries were reported in the incident.
