Mansukh Mandaviya, Health Minister Says No Omicron Variant Case As Yet In India

On November 30, Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Health Minister said that no cases of new Covid-19 variant 'Omicron' have been reported in India, till now. The Union Health Minister was asked a question regarding the issue in Rajya Sabha. The minister said that due to the information that has been received concerning the virus, an advisory has been issued. He added that all the required precautions are being taken to stop the virus from entering India. The World Health Organisation (WHO) named the latest Covid-19 variant B.1.1.529 as ‘Omicron’. It was detected in South Africa. Watch the video to know more.
