Mandira Bedi’s Husband Filmmaker Raj Kaushal Dies; Bedi Performs Last Rites, B-Town Celebs Offer Condolences
Mandira Bedi's husband and film producer Raj Kaushal died at the age of 49 on June 30 morning after suffering a cardiac arrest. His funeral was held shortly afterwards. Pictures of his wife, Mandira Bedi, along with several of their friends and family members at the funeral, were shared online. Mandira Bedi was seen crying hugging Ronit Roy outside her house as they left to perform the last rites. Bedi was clicked being consoled by friends after the last rites were performed by her. Filmmaker Onir, who worked with Raj Kaushal in the 2005 film My Brother Nikhil, announced the news of his death on social media and he tweeted, "Gone too soon”. Neha Dhupia, who was among the group of friends Raj Kaushal reportedly spent time with over the weekend, wrote on Instagram, "Raj, we took this picture to create more and more memories. Can't believe you are not with us anymore.” Actor Rohit Bose Roy tweeted, "This is unbelievable... Numb with grief and shock. One of our closest.” Arshad Warsi, remembered his "dear friend" and their long association. Besides being a film producer, Raj Kaushal was also a writer and a director and he had helmed films like Pyaar Mein Kabhie Kabhie, Shaadi Ka Ladooand Anthony Kaun Hai. Watch the video to know more.
