Malala Yousafzai, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Announces Marriage To Partner Asser Malik, Posts Pictures Of Nikkah
On November 9, Malala Yousafzai, Nobel Peace Prize laureate and her partner Asser Malik got married. The girls’ education activist announced her marriage on social media by sharing pictures from her nikkah ceremony. The nikkah ceremony of the couple was held at home in Birmingham in Britain. Malala Yousafzai tweeted, “Today marks a precious day in my life. Asser and I tied the knot to be partners for life.” In 2012, when she was only 15, Malala Yousafzai was shot at by Taliban terrorists. The activist was attacked for speaking out publicly on behalf of girls and their right to learn. In December 2014, Malala received the Nobel Peace Prize. With this, she became the youngest-ever Nobel laureate. The young activist graduated in 2020. She studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Oxford. Watch the video to know more.
