Makar Sankranti is being celebrated this year on January 14.  It is also celebrated as Magha in Punjab & Pongal in South India. This festival is dedicated to Lord Surya and is celebrated with a lot of fervour. Many from Bollywood took to social media to wish their fans Happy Makar Sankranti. Akshay Kumar wrote, “May Makar Sankranti bring new hope and joy in your lives.” Shilpa Shetty wrote, “Happy Makar Sankranti and Happy Pongal to everyone.” Juhi Chawla also wished her fans. Hema Malini celebrated Pongal. Manoj Bajpayee also took to social media to wish his fans. Kangana Ranaut wished her fans Happy Makar Sankranti, Happy Pongal, Happy Bihu, Happy Lohri. Arjun Kapoor took to social media to wish his fans on the occasion of Makar Sankranti.
