Maharashtra Leads In India’s Coronavirus Tally As Country-wide Cases Rise To 23,000 With 718 Dead

India saw 1680 new cases of Coronavirus as of April 23 evening, the country’s highest single-day rise so far. This takes the country’s COVID-19 Case tally to 23,077 while 718 people have died after contracting Coronavirus. Maharashtra too registered its highest single-day increase in cases with 778 positives in 24 hours taking the state’s tally to 6,427. Mumbai the state’s capital and with a population of 15 million people, has 4,000 cases.
