Farmers in Madhya Pradesh have reported a huge shortage of fertilisers amid the peak harvesting season. Some angry farmers staged a road blockade in protest. Some farmers even resorted to looting bags of fertilisers after demand exceeded supply at a local market in Morena. As many parts are facing the crunch, Bhind and Morena have been witnessing daily protests by the farmers. In Morena, a stampede-like situation was witnessed outside a cooperative society. Farmers had queued up to get their share of fertilisers. Police resorted to lathicharge to control the angry crowd. Meanwhile, in a video, State Minister of Urban Development and Housing, OPS Bhadoria can be seen getting angry at farmers.
