Looking Back At Princess Diana's Funeral On September 6, 1997 At London’s Westminster Abbey

Princess Diana was laid to rest on September 6, 1997. A royal ceremonial funeral was held at Westminster Abbey, watched or listened to by close to 2.5 billion people worldwide. Around one million people gathered on the streets of London to pay their last respects to the princess, killed in a car crash in Paris six days earlier.
