Celebrated filmmaker Basu Chatterjee died at his residence in Mumbai on June 4 due to age-related issues. He was 90. He was best known for directing classics such as Rajinigandha, Khatta Meetha, Chitchor, Chhoti Si Baat and Shaukeen. PM Narendra Modi, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, IFTDA, Shabana Azmi, Shoojit Sircar, Madhur Bhandarkar & others offered condolences.
