Kartarpur Sahib Opens Ahead Of Gurupurab, All About It

On November 16, the central government announced the reopening of the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor. Union Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted that the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor will be reopened on November 17. This comes ahead of Gurupurab which falls on November 19, the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev. Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, Amarinder Singh and Punjab Navjot Sidhu and many Sikh leaders had requested the Modi government to reopen the corridor before Gurpurab. The Kartarpur Sahib Corridor was shut in March 2020 in view of the Covid-19 outbreak. The decision comes ahead of state elections in Punjab. Watch the video to know more.
