Karnataka Hijab Row: Priyanka Gandhi, Mahua Moitra, Jwala Gutta Weigh In
On February 9, senior Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra tweeted supporting the students who have been banned from wearing the hijab in classrooms. Priyanka Gandhi tweeted, “Whether it is a bikini, a ghoonghat, a pair of jeans or a hijab, it is a woman’s right to decide what she wants to wear.” Priyanka’s brother and Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi responded to the tweet with a 'thumbs-up' emoji. Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra also tweeted expressing her views.
