Karnataka is seeing fresh political turmoil after reports have surfaced of rebellion in the ranks against the state Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa. On July 22, Yediyurappa gave a cryptic message that he would follow orders from the BJP leadership. He said that Sunday, July 26 would bring more clarity, a hint that he may not remain the Chief Minister for much longer. On July 26, his government completes two years.
Yediyurappa, 78, said "till now" he had not been asked to resign. “When the directions come, I'll quit and work for the party,” he said. Yediyurappa met PM Narendra Modi & other leaders in the BJP in Delhi a few days ago. Reportedly, in his meeting with PM Modi, he had offered to quit citing health issues. A section of BJP MLAs and ministers have demanded that Yediyurappa be removed as Chief Minister. Watch the video to know more.
