Kanye West’s Donda Album In Controversy; Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif Feature In Zomato Ads, Criticised On Social Media
Kanye West's Donda arrived on August 29, following weeks of delay. It is a two-hour, 27 track-long album. It features a big list of special appearances, including from Jay-Z, The Weeknd, Travis Scott and Lil Baby. Marilyn Manson, who is accused of rape and sexually and psychologically abusing many women and DaBaby, who recently sparked anger for homophobic remarks during a performance are credited on West's 10th studio album. Chris Brown is listed as a composer and lyricist on the track New Again. Brown has pleaded guilty to abusing mega star Rihanna in 2009. Meanwhile, West has claimed that his label, Universal Music Group, released Donda without his approval. Food delivery platform Zomato has landed itself in trouble. It faced immense flak for its recent ad campaign. Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif are part of the two ads. The Zomato ads received criticism from their followers on Twitter. Many called the ads ‘tone-deaf'. People said the ads show the fact that the delivery executives are extremely overworked & are not allowed to relax even for a minute. Others suggested that Zomato should pay better wages to their workers than spending on advertisements featuring Bollywood celebs. Zomato said, “We believe that our ads are well-intentioned, but unfortunately misinterpreted by some people.”
