Kamala Harris, US Vice President Continues With Asia Tour, Despite Reports Of Havana Syndrome Cases Among American Staff

Kamala Harris, US Vice President temporarily delayed a flight from Singapore to Vietnam on August 24. The delay took place as the Vice President’s office was made aware of what the State Department called a “possible anomalous health incident" in Hanoi. Officials have used that language to describe what is more commonly called Havana Syndrome. The State Department later said that after an assessment, the decision was made to continue the trip. During the two-day trip to Singapore, Harris made the case for the US to strengthen its economic ties with Southeast Asia. She stressed the need to work with countries to ease supply-chain constraints as a surge of Covid-19 cases has hit factories in the area. She tweeted, “Over the years, the U.S.-Singapore partnership has enhanced the security and prosperity of both our nations.
