Joe Biden, US President On Talk With PM Narendra Modi, Says Working On Sending Vaccines To India

United States President Joe Biden extended America's full support to India which is battling a severe Covid-19 second wave on his call with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Joe Biden recounted India's contribution in US' fight against the deadly disease in a tweet from his official President account. The two leaders engaged via phone call a day after the US announced it would supply raw materials urgently needed for making the Covishield vaccine & oxygen generation equipment to bolster India’s efforts to counter the second wave of record-breaking Coronavirus infections. Meanwhile, PM Narendra Modi said he had "fruitful conversation" with US President Joe Biden about the prevailing Covid-19 situation in India & the United States. India's new Covid-19 deaths hit an overwhelming peak with 3,293 people dying in the last 24 hours. New cases rose by over 3.6 lakh, a global high, pushing the total cases to over 1.79 crore.
