Joe Biden Ends 2024 Re-Election Battle Against Donald Trump, Says ‘In the Best Interest of Party and Country

On July 21, US President Joe Biden announced that he will end his candidacy for re-election. 81-year-old Biden said, “it is in the best interest of my party and the country.” President Biden’s decision comes four months before Americans go to the polls on November 5. In a letter posted to his social media account, Joe Biden said it had been the greatest honour of his life to serve as president.
