On October 12, Jignesh Mevani, MLA, Vadgam Assembly Constituency, Gujarat tweeted a disturbing video of a Dalit man’s lynching. The incident took place in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan. While sharing the video, he wrote, “I request Rajasthan govt to take this on priority. This barbarism isn't allowed anywhere.” Meanwhile, Ashok Gehlot, Rajasthan Chief Minister attacked BJP leaders for comparing a Dalit man's lunching with the Lakhimpur Kheri violence act. The Rajasthan CM said they are "foolish" and lack "sense" on how to react to an incident. Gehlot said, “We ourselves condemn it. We took immediate action and the accused were nabbed.” Police have so far arrested seven people, reported PTI. Reacting to Gehlot's statement, BJP state president Satish Poonia said why Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi had not come to Rajasthan and met the victims, reported PTI. Watch the video to know more.
