Jharkhand Foundation Day is celebrated to mark the day when the state of Jharkhand was officially formed. Earlier, Jharkhand was part of Bihar. In 2000, Jharkhand was officially formed as the 28th state in India. Therefore, Jharkhand Foundation Day is celebrated on November 15 annually. This day commemorates the day when Bihar Reorganisation Act, 2000 was passed. On this day, people also remember Bhagwan Bisra, who played an important part in sowing the seed of revolt amongst the people of this state. Watch the video to know more.
