Leo Varadkar, Ireland's Prime Minister Visits Varad In Malvan; Know His Connection With India

Ireland's Prime Minister Leo Varadkar on December 29, 2019 visited his ancestral village in coastal Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra. Leo Varadkar is of part Indian-origin as his father Ashok Varadkar originally hails from Varad in Malvan. Ashok Varadkar left India in 1966 and his son Leo was born in Dublin in 1979. Leo has visited India before but this was the first time that he accompanied his father to the family's ancestral village in Maharashtra.
