India’s Coronavirus Tally At 1965 With 50 Dead, While Worldwide Death Toll Reaches 47,500

India reported 12 deaths over the past 24 hours to take the country’s death toll to 50 due to the novel coronavirus. Total confirmed cases are 1965 with 328 in the past 24 hours alone. India recorded the highest single-day increase in the number of COVID-19 positive patients – 437 were reported, with Tamil Nadu leading the spike. Meanwhile, figures from across the world suggest that countries are still falling short of containing the spread of coronavirus. The US recorded 884 coronavirus deaths in 24 hours, its highest single-day toll and the country now has over two lakh confirmed cases of COVID-19. The UK reported a further 563 people had died from COVID-19 taking the country’s death toll to 2,352. And Spain reported an additional 834 people had died over the past 24 hours.
