India Records 1.68 Lakh Covid-19 Cases On April 11, Positivity Rate Up 3.5 Times; Delhi, Mumbai Worst Hit
India recorded 1,68,912 new Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the sixth record rise in seven days, pushing the country's caseload to over 1.35 crore. In The resurgence of the virus led to 904 new deaths, taking the total death count to 1,70,179. As per the Union Health Ministry, India on April 11 reported 1,52,879 Covid-19 cases. With The Current Number Of Covid-19 Cases, India's Covid-19 Caseload Has Climbed To 1,35,27,717. India also saw 90,584 discharges in the past 24 hours, as per the government. Number of active Covid-19 cases in India has breached the 10-lakh mark again after a period of six-and-a-half months. Latest fatality count is the highest since October 18 last year. Delhi reported 10,774 new cases & 48 deaths on April 11, sweeping aside the previous daily record of 8,500-odd cases reached in November. On April 11, Mumbai reported 9,986 cases, registering a marginal spike in the number of fresh cases. As per the health ministry, 10 states - Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Rajasthan - are showing a steep rise in daily Covid-19 cases at present.
