Imran Khan, Pak PM Cancels National Address After Key Ally MQM Announces It Will Vote With Opposition In No Confidence Motion

Imran Khan, Pakistan Prime Minister, has cancelled his address to the nation ahead of a no-trust vote. The announcement of Khan’s decision to cancel the address came after the Pakistani Army chief and the head of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) met with Imran Khan. The army and the ISI chiefs met with the Pakistan Prime Minister later in the evening as well, reported NDTV. Faisal Javed Khan, Pakistani Senator, in a tweet also confirmed that the Prime mInister has cancelled his speech. The PTI and coalition partners have 176 seats in the 342-member assembly. However, on March 30, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, or MQM-P, said its seven lawmakers would vote with the opposition. Watch the video to know more.
