Hyderabad: Rain Damages Crops, Vegetable Prices Soar Amid Festival And Wedding Season

People are bearing the brunt of soaring prices of vegetables. Vegetable prices in Hyderabad are on the rise after heavy rain damaged crops leading to shortage in supply. Surge has affected the common man amid festival and wedding season. Almost all vegetables have got significantly costly. A vegetable seller said, “We were selling tomatoes for Rs 10-15 per kg some 15 days back. We are selling the same at Rs 60 now.”
