Tamil Nadu has been battered by heavy rains. A red alert has been issued for four Tamil Nadu districts due to incessant rains in the state. Red alert has been issued in Chennai, Kanchipuram, Thiruvallur, and Chengalpattu. Traffic congestion was witnessed at several places due to waterlogging causing trouble for the commuters who were not prepared for the rains.
