Heatwave In Maharashtra: At 43.7 Degrees Celsius, Solapur Hottest In The State; IMD Issues Alert As Mumbai Sizzles At 38 Degrees

Sunday, April 28 was a hot day! Temperature in many areas of Maharashtra crossed 40 degrees Celsius. Solapur the hottest at 43.7 degrees Celsius, a rise of 2.3 degrees from the normal. The western and central areas of the state of Maharashtra suffered the most, as per India Meteorological Department (IMD). A heatwave warning was issued for Raigad, Mumbai suburb and Thane for April 28. Colaba observatory (representative of south Mumbai) recorded 34.4 degrees Celsius, one degree above the normal. Santacruz observatory (representatives of suburbs in Mumbai) recorded a maximum temperature of 38.1 degrees Celsius, an increase of 4.4 degrees. Watch the video to know more.
