Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar Tests Positive For COVID-19; Delhi Sero Survey Results
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has tested positive for coronavirus. CM Khattar was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon on August 24. The Chief Minister had tweeted on testing positive and had appealed to those who came in contact with him to get tested or quarantine. Haryana Speaker Gian Chand Gupta also tested positive for the virus on August 24, two days before the state assembly session. Deputy Speaker Ranbir Gangwa will preside over the session. The number of cases in Haryana has reached 54,386 with 603 deaths being reported. Meanwhile, minors aged between 5 & 17 are most exposed to the novel coronavirus in Delhi, according to a serological survey conducted in the city this month. Conducted between August 1 & August 7, the survey, second in the city, showed that 29.1 per cent of the population in the national capital has now developed antibodies against SARS CoV-2. As many as 15,000 people from four age groups participated in the survey, around 25 per cent of them below 18, 50 per cent between 18 and 50, and the rest aged above 50. The number of cases in Delhi has reached 1,61,466 with 4300 deaths being reported.
