Widely celebrated as the greatest boxer of all-time, Muhammad Ali was born on this day (January 17) in 1942. Ali defeated every top heavyweight boxers in his era and was crowned the World Heavyweight Boxing champion thrice in addition to winning an Olympic gold medal at the 1960 Rome Olympics. Ali passed away on June 3, 2016, at the age of 74.
