Greta Thunberg Mocks UK PM Boris Johnson's UNGA Speech, Calls Out 'Empty Promises' At Youth4Climate Conference
Greta Thunberg, climate activist, in her speech at the Youth4Climate conference in Milan, Italy mocked the words of world leaders, including UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson. She said much has been promised but little done to deal with global warming in almost three decades since the Earth Summit. Thunberg, 18, used excerpts from UK PM Boris Johnson’s speech, such as "expensive bunny hugging", "build back better", net-zero by 2050 climate pledge to highlight what she called the "empty words and promises" of politicians. "Thirty years of blah, blah, blah," Thunberg said. She added, "So-called leaders have cherry picked young people to meetings like this to pretend they are listening to us, but they are not listening.” Watch the video to know more.
