Godzilla: King of the Monsters Review: Godzilla: King of the Monsters is the sequel to the 2014 film Godzilla and the third instalment of Legendary Films' MonsterVerse. This shared universe was established in 2017 with Kong: Skull Island, and two years hereon, we will see Godzilla take on King Kong in, well, Godzilla vs Kong. Godzilla: King of the Monsters, directed by Michael Dougherty, stars Millie Bobby Brown, Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga, Oscar nominee Sally Hawkins, Kyle Chandler, O’Shea Jackson Jr, Ken Watanabe, Bradley Whitford and Zhang Ziyi.
