Gas Leak In Vizag: 8 Dead, 200 Hospitalised Due To Styrene Gas Leak At LG Polymers Industry In AP

At least eight people are dead and over two hundred affected due to what is being reported as a Styrene gas leakage at LG Polymers Industry plant in Vishakhapatnam (Vizag) In Andhra Pradesh. Reports have quoted officials as saying that people in a one kilometre radius have had prolonged exposure to the gas leak which happened at 03:30am on May 07. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to co-ordinate with the state government.
