Farmers’ Tractor Rally: More Videos Surface Of Violence At Red Fort

Delhi witnessed unprecedented scenes of chaos and violence on January 26. On the nation’s 72nd Republic Day, groups of protesting farmers clashed with police & security forces during what was supposed to be a peaceful tractor rally around the city's borders. After breaking barricades to enter Delhi at 8 am, farmers’ protesting against the three controversial farm laws did not follow the timings & the route decided by the unions & the police for the tractor rally. Protesting farmers poured in large numbers into the Red Fort complex by afternoon on January 26. a video of a Sikh protester hoisting the Nishan Saheb, a Sikh religious flag on one of the flag poles also went viral. In one video, around a dozen police and paramilitary personnel can be seen forced to scramble and jump over a 15-foot wall at the Red Fort complex to escape a mob of lathi-wielding attackers.
