Farmers Block Delhi-Jaipur Highway, To Go On Hunger Strike As Protests Escalate

Delhi-Jaipur highway was partially opened post 2 pm on December 13 after it was blocked as farmers began a march from Shahjahanpur of Alwar district on the Rajasthan-Haryana border as part of their protest against the Centre’s contentious farm law. The Haryana police did not allow march to the national capital resulting in the highway blockade. However, protesters continue to partially block Delhi-Jaipur highway after farmers from Rajasthan and Haryana began their march to the national capital on December 13 amid huge police presence. As protests against the government's new agricultural laws escalate, all leaders of farmers' bodies are holding a hunger strike on December 14 & demonstrations across the country.
