On June 26, Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, a prominent Muslim organisation urged people to strictly follow government guidelines while offering sacrifice on Eid-ul-Azha. The organisation urged Muslims not to share pictures of slaughtered animals on social media. Eid-ul-Azha or Bakrid will be celebrated in India on June 29, Thursday. In a statement, Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind chief Maulana Arshad Madani said that it is important that Muslims take precautionary measures while observing the festival.
