Don’t Believe Rumours, Says Delhi Cops Amid Panic After Reports Of Violence

There has been no violence in Southeast or West Delhi, the police said on March 1. Delhi police requested people not to believe rumours being circulated on social media. MS Randhawa, PRO Delhi Police said, “The situation is normal in Delhi. Our senior officers are monitoring the situation. Don’t believe the panic calls. Calls have come from West and South east Delhi. The situation is normal here.” The appeal comes amid panic in certain areas over reports of fresh violence. The police has also blocked social media handles of people and groups spreading false news.
